DEMONSTRATE AGAINST THE CORPORATE
TAKEOVER OF PACIFICA RA
Saturday, March 3rd
12 noon - 2 pm

KPFK - 3729 Cahuenga Blvd. West, North Hollywood

The Pacifica National Board is set to meet in Houston, Texas on the weekend
of March 3 & 4. On the agenda are new proposed by-laws written by
board member, John Murdock, of the union-busting law firm Epstein,
Becker & Green. These by-laws, if allowed to pass, could set the stage
for the sale of Pacifica radio stations and archives and silence the
most powerful progressive media voice in the United States.
Demonstrate against the corporate interests working to undo free
speech. Similar demonstrations will be taking place outside the other
four Pacifica stations on the same day.

Freeeway, and is a two-story red brick building on the south side of Cahuenga Blvd.

Monday Demo Reminder, August 9th

Hi all,

This is just a last-minute reminder that the Pacifica Accountability Committee will be holding a demonstration in front of the KPFK building on Monday, August 9, from 4:00 - 7:00.

Pacifica management has gone to great lengths to create the impression that the crisis at KPFK in Berkeley has passed and all is well. They bypassed their own negotiating process to announce that they were allowing the staff to return to run the station on an experimental basis for six months. Despite this transparent attempt to diffuse the energy leading to the 7/31 demonstration, the Berkeley police estimated a crowd of 15,000.

When the KPFA staff returned to the station, accompanied by Berkeley city officials, they discovered that serious damage had been done to the equipment while Pacifica's armed thugs were supposedly guarding it. You're not likely to learn any of this on KPFK, where the gag rule remains strictly enforced.

KPFK is at 3729 Cahuenga Blvd. West, North Hollywood.

Hope to see you there,
Vince
